Officially discharged on 20 September 1917. The description of him on his discharge form:
Age: 29 years 3 months (June 1888)
Height: 5' 5 ½"
Complexion: Fresh
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Dark
Marks or scars: Gunshot wound right shoulder
Another form, from 20 September 1917 had this info:
Has an excellent character.
Wounded in action, right shoulder
This form had some interesting letters at the top which I don't understand:
I think it says:
SE No 3
Bethesda 2611 (or maybe 26/1)
The number might refer to a casualty clearing station? As he was shot in action this may be possible.
